Key Responsibilities:

  • Be the the creative leading voice for a client in the social sports vertical, shaping its unique tone, messaging, and brand identity across digital marketing channels, with a strong focus on paid social media.
  • Craft compelling short-form ad content that engages sports fans, excites audiences, and drives user acquisition.
  • Write bold, concise ad copy across multiple formats, including:
    • Social media ads
    • User-generated content (UGC) scripts
    • TV ads
    • Affiliate banners
    • Landing pages
    • Newsletters
    • Influencer campaigns
  • Collaborate with creative and paid social teams to ideate, develop, and execute high-energy ad concepts that capture the spirit of sports competition while adhering to brand guidelines.
  • Create and tailor content ideas—such as video scripts, storyboards, and static visuals—for paid social platforms, ensuring resonance with sports audiences.
  • Develop impactful copy for PPC channels (e.g., Google) aimed at engaging fans of major sports like the NBA, NFL, MLB, and NHL.
  • Stay informed on game features, sports events, and promotions by engaging with internal and external teams to produce timely and relevant content.
  • Participate in creative strategy discussions during “squad” calls, ensuring consistent brand messaging across campaigns.
  • Work with the influencer team to enhance brand partnerships and with video editors to repurpose live-stream highlights into captivating short-form ad content.
  • Occasionally assist with casino-related copy, ensuring alignment with the brand’s voice and tone.
  • Adhere to industry regulations and maintain brand integrity by avoiding restricted language and ensuring all copy aligns with brand tone and compliance standards.

  • Known for your bold, direct, and engaging writing style that resonates with sports fans and drives action.
  • Skilled at managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, while staying in sync with the sports calendar.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated expertise in crafting sports or gaming-focused ad copy for digital and paid media campaigns.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role within the sports or iGaming industry, with a strong grasp of engaging sports audiences.
